John J. Biegalski, your ASHI Certified Inspector has over 28 years experience in the home inspection, Radon testing and construction industry. He founded Alpha Check Inspections in 1995.
What are the qualifications of Alpha Check Inspectors?
How many home inspections have you completed?
John J. Biegalski, the only inspector for Alpha Check Inspections, has personally performed over 4000 home inspections and 700 Radon tests in the Delaware Valley. John's previous construction experience involved everything from new construction to historic buildings. He is also a member with the American Society of Home Inspectors. This assures the client that the inspector has performed required continuing education and passed exams.
What professional organizations do you belong to? John J. Biegalski has been a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) since 1996 (member # 200883). ASHI is the recognized leader in education and professionalism in the field of home inspection. ASHI certified inspectors have to pass 2 two written exams and attend ongoing educational courses every year (at least 20 educational credits in home inspection related subjects).
John is also certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA Dep for Radon Testing, ID # 1785).
What type of insurance do you carry?
Error and omissions insurance per Pennsylvania regulations and $1 Million general liability insurance.
Are your prices negotiable?
Generally, no. However, a discount is offered when multiple services are performed.
Can you provide costs for repairs of the problems you find?
Due to John J. Biegalski experience in the construction business, he is able to provide cost projections for deficiencies and problems reported.
What type of report do you provide?
While some inspectors offer only a handwritten checklist and prepare it on site, Alpha Check Inspections takes the time to prepare a detailed, helpful and useful report. The report is prepared off site and e-mailed or faxed the next business day.
Do you take photos?
Photos are available for an additional fee.
Do you solicit real estate agents for client leads?
As a Home Inspection Company and ASHI member, we follow the ASHI's Standards of Practice and a Code of Ethics and do not solicit nor do we perform any work that may be needed. We also are not affiliated directly with any Real Estate Office, contractor or any other repair company. This assures that our recommentdations are totally objective.
